Louie ep. 6 - The heckler lady on YouTube →
I don’t know how Louis does this simple idea so well. It’s kind of like the Seinfeld show about nothing all over again, but then it’s really not at all. It’s kinda fun when Louie tells the lady off, but the real good is afterwards when he explains how much it means to him when someone talks during the show.

I chased a train and caught it
Yesterday, I chased a train and caught it. After four and a half boring hours of sitting uncomfortably in a train, my girlfriend and I arrived in Aalborg where my parents live. Greeted by my mom, we soon drove to my old home. Just as we got there, I realized I had forgotten a small suitcase with my audio recording gear in it in the train. Shit. So, my mom and girlfriend got out and I took on...

Why I do it
The only thing that have kept me from finishing this, is wanting to write something after each chapter. Just something. Anything. I have no plan to become a full-time writer, I just admire people who write well. And that makes me want to too. One chapter I read today made me think about, why I do the things I do. The music, the comedy, the numerous blogs that have come and most of them gone. I...

Goodbye Desktop
If you want to stop anything appearing on your Mac’s Desktop, but want to keep files in the ~/Desktop directory, open Terminal and run the following: defaults write com.apple.finder CreateDesktop -bool FALSE ; killall Finder After that you won’t see any icons on your Desktop—no files, no folders, no disks; just the pretty picture. To reverse the process, run the command again, replacing...

“Okay, so here’s me. Privileged in basically every way. White, middle-class, cis,...”
– 13 Ways of Looking at Liz Lemon by Tiger Beatdown. This is a really good read. Especially if you like 30 Rock (like I know you do!) But I wonder; Does it strengthen or completely ruin her point, that when I read this I kinda find her attractive. Easy tiger.

It's already too late for 100%
That last bit of comedy advice from Thomas was quite popular, so here’s another one I like. Thomas does mostly one-liners. And therefore his advice may be mostly for comedians alike — still it’s something to think about for everyone. Thomas writes a lot of jokes when he’s developing new material. And I mean a really fucking impressive lot of jokes. This tuesday he showed...

Two iPads arrived at the office today. I’m writing this on one. It’s hard to keep myself from making love to it. The keyboard is surprisingly nice to use, but for serious typing it needs some sort of stand I guess. “If you want to be serious, take a stand”, they said and I agreed. I’d enjoy bringing this along with me to the open-mic at Comedy Zoo later tonight....

Then don't wear a cardigan
As I started out doing stand-up comedy I started to notice that when I wore a cardigan, things seemed to go better. It was as if the audiences bought my character faster and I felt more secure. I told this to my friend Thomas (who have been doing stand-up for way longer than I) and his advice came instantly. Then next time, don’t wear a cardigan! Because if you build these rituals in...

“No one’s going to give you a cookie for not buying an iPad so just stop talking...”
– I’ve been thinking exactly what Shawn Morrison has been thinking every time I read a comment by someone who (mistakenly) thinks the iPad will fail, because he’s completely satisfied with his open HTC-whatever and his opinions on NOT wanting an iPad instead of showing us a better...

Oh Land is danish musician Nanna Øland Fabricius. After her first record was released, she got picked up by Epic and she’s now traveling all over the world writing songs with guys that we all want to write songs with. I once met Nanna at what I think was one of her first gigs as Oh Land. It was at Stengade30 here in Copenhagen. The place was filled. I don’t think it was filled...

Kung Fu Grippe feed without the 90's music →
Do you like Kung Fu Grippe but are getting a bit tired of all the 90’s grunge songs, that Merlin keeps posting then this Pipe is for you. It’s most certainly way too basic. It just filters out posts with mentions of www.youtube.com. I really like Merlin but he’s from another generation. I’m aware that he grew up with these songs, but I didn’t. I’m not...
