The Danish comma rules are very strictly defined but also hard for some to understand. We’ve tried reforming the stringent old format but ended up pulling the changes back, resulting in some people of my generation only knowing the new, wrong, way.

Now, I know my way around a Danish comma. The old one, the right one. And I always put an effort into using them correctly everywhere — in SMS’s as well as on Facebook and on birthday cards and everything. I try to make an effort of using them correctly. Even more when it seems like most people around me doesn’t seem to care about neither commas nor spelling at all. And yet even more when I write a post on my, blog, about, commas. „,Lol, amirite,?

This is why, everytime I write anything in English, I hate that I’m unsure about almost every comma and decission to leave one out. If you see me do it wrong, please, know that I am sorry.
